Our Mission
Create and maintain a strong network of resources for single fathers in Detroit. Assist with providing a support system that will recover and restore fathers back into home settings.
Our Vision
Fathers in Arms will be a strong community support system partnering with other agencies and organizations arming local fathers with resources that will help our clients with obtaining the needs of their children.
Our vision is to restore fathers to their rightful power of fatherhood and restore children's faith in their fathers to be there for them through their developmental years. F.I.A. wants to rid the household term "Deadbeat Dad" out of our black communities.
We would accomplish this through education, awareness, mentoring, counseling, various support groups, parent training, and other forums. We believe that empowered fathers create empowered families which builds empowered communities.
